Rubella
Rubella which is also known as German measles is caused by virus. It can easily be diagnosed with a low grade fever, pinkish rash, swollen glands and runny eyes.

Fifth Disease
Fifth disease is also quite common in children but even the pregnant women can get infected. It is caused by parvovirus B19. It is mainly caused if the infected person coughs or sneezes in front of you. Not all, but some babies do get affected which can cause diseases like anemia, heart failure, miscarriage and stillbirth.

The symptoms of this disease are rash, fever, headache, sore throat and joint pain. Pregnant women should immediately consult a doctor if they notice any of the symptoms of this disease.

Tuberculosis during Pregnancy
Tuberculosis mostly affects lungs. If a woman is infected with it, the symptoms won?t show right away. You can get infected with this disease if you have been living in some closed area with a person being infected with TB. If you show some signs of TB like coughing, then the doctor will ask for your phlegm which will be followed by chest x-ray.
But if you do not show any sign, then Tuberculin skin test will be done. The most dangerous affect which it can have on your unborn baby is premature birth and low weight of your child. If detected early, it is curable.
Sexually Transmitted Diseases
If you have any type of STDs such as HIV, Chlamydia, gonorrhea, then it is likely to pass on to your child. Vaginal Herpes is a type of disease which can pass on to your child if you are diagnosed with it for the first time.
So, in order to have a healthy pregnancy, you should act upon, if you see any of the symptoms described above. Don?t worry, just consult your doctor and you will get cured without any harm to your child.
