Pew: 6 percent of American adults use Reddit
Reddit, the self-proclaimed "front page of the Internet," has finally earned a place at the social network table. The online community, which allows people to submit content and vote it up or down based on interest, is used by 6 percent of U.S. Internet users, according to the Pew Research Center. That's still eons behind Facebook with 67 percent, but Reddit is on par with Tumblr, which has also attracted the attention of 6 percent of the Web. Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram all hover around the 15 percent mark. Unsurprisingly, Reddit appeals mostly to young men, who are more inclined to spend hours sifting through memes or voting up Minecraft images than their female counterparts.Original source
